A new composer is being added to the Minecraft discography.
The long-awaited Minecraft update, Trails & Tales, brings a lot of new features to its users this summer. Cherry blossom trees, the Sniffer, archeology, pottery, and a new EP are just to name a few of these things.

The Mojang Instagram account posted a clip this morning, announcing that there will be new music on its way with the Trails & Tales update. (Yay!)
This new composer, Aaron Cherof, wrote five new songs for this update entitled:
"Echo in the Wind"
"A Familiar Room"
"Bromeliad"
"Crescent Dunes"
"Relic"
From the start, I can imagine how these titles relate to the aspects of this update, and where they are going to show up while players are exploring. While some are already reacting negatively to this, I feel that a fresh update like this deserves some fresh music. Sometimes, change is good, and that is exactly what makes old and new players returning to Minecraft. Things are endlessly evolving in this infinite world, and with that comes the music that is needed for long days and nights of exploring.
The EP has been posted on Spotify for those that would like to listen, and videos are also being curated and posted on Youtube.
(This exciting announcement caught me in the middle of writing a research paper, so I will return later after I've had time to listen and give my own opinion on these new songs.)
